چکیده

Equilibrium models (EMs) are frequently employed to examine the potential impacts of economic, energy, and trade policies as well form foundation most integrated assessment models. Despite their central role coupling economic environmental systems, scientists largely unfamiliar with structure methodology underpinning EMs, which serves a barrier interdisciplinary collaboration model improvement. In this study we systematically extract data from 10 years published EMs focus on how these have been extended beyond origins encompass environmentally relevant sectors interest. The results indicate that there is far greater spatial coverage high income countries compared low countries, notable gaps in Central America, Africa, Middle East, Asia. We also find degree aggregation within production inputs sectoral outputs, particularly context global socioeconomic scenarios. For example, were unable identify single temporally dynamic distinguished between products arising managed versus natural forest, or pastures relative grasslands. Due necessary breadth associated knowledge entire economy, see considerable for cross-disciplinary innovation gain familiarity into play bridging nexus systems change.
